Once Upon a Time...

When I was younger I was always writing. In elementary school it was stories about brave girls going on exciting adventures and then in junior high I was totally boy-crazy so I wrote a lot of love stories. And then I discovered fan fiction and wrote that for several years. In university I blogged and wrote history papers. In recent years I haven't done much writing at all, and I realized I missed writing so I started blogging again.

Blogging has been great, though I am still struggling to figure out who I am as a blogger, but I miss writing fiction too. For years a friend and I have been talking about writing a novel. We both like the same type of books, so we've decided to try our hand at creating our own story. We're meeting for coffee tomorrow to start brain storming and I'm kind of excited. (Okay, I'm super excited.) I have all kinds of ideas running around in my head and I can't wait to start getting them all out.

What sort of creative outlets do you have? And how do you make time for them?

  2. My creative outlets are music and web design, but I want to get back to sewing again as soon as I have the room set up. I take time for them when possible, especially music doesn't require a lot really, I can pick up an instrument and play a tune when I have a few minutes over.
