Friday's Letters

Dear Spring; Please stop being a tease. I would really like more than one warm, sunny day every week. If April showers bring May flowers then what do May showers bring? Hopefully something good! Dear Work; Last week wasn't so good. Hopefully we've got everything back on track now. I think we do, I feel like I worked my butt off this week. Dear Sydney; You are an indoor cat. Please stop trying to sneak out every time I open the door. I'm not sure what I would do if you ran away. When the weather is nice I promise to take you out on your leash so you can get a little fresh air. Dear Husband; I'm so glad you're finally feeling better. I know that cold really kicked your butt - I don't think I've ever seen you quite so miserable. Let's do something fun this weekend, k? Dear Sunburn; You suck and you're making my arms really hurt. But I have no one to blame but myself. Hopefully this time I've learned my lesson.

Have a fantastic weekend everyone!

Friday's Letters

Dear Friday; I think I'd enjoy you a little bit more if I was off on Saturday, but even though I have to work in the morning there's something about Friday night that feels different.

Dear Spring; Um, where are you? I did not enjoy having a snow storm on Wednesday, and snow again last night. I am already dreading my commute next winter.

Dear New Job; I'm quite happy that we're still getting along so well. I'm starting to feel like I know what I'm doing and like I belong.

Dear Ardene; What's up with not having the same prices in every store? I made a special trip to the mall for 3/$10 flats only to discover that they're 2/$20 at that location. How much sense does that make?

Dear Housework; Do you think you could just do yourself this weekend? Just this once, and I'll get back on track I swear.

Dear Blog; I'm sorry you've been so neglected recently. I will try to make time for you soon. Hoping to get some posts scheduled on Sunday... We'll see what happens!

Dear Friday...

Dear work, Today was not a good day. In fact, this hasn't been a very good week. I would really like tomorrow to be a better day please. Dear Steve Berry, Thanks for writing books hubby and I both enjoy. I can't put down The Columbus Affair and I can't wait to pass it on to Jonathan to read. Dear Battered Fish restaurant, I'm so glad you opened up in our neighbourhood. Best fish and chips EVER. Dear Daisy, You are a super cute little beagle and I adore you. But please stop pooing in the house. I know it's cold out, but it's really no excuse. Dear new camera, I wish we had more opportunities to play together. I can't wait until the weather warms up so we can go on some adventures with Daisy and Jonathan.

So, my cooking supper streak ended tonight. I was tired and cranky so I made hubby go pick up some fish and chips for us. I'm starting a "Biggest Loser" challenge at work on Monday so I figured I'd better get it in now. The prize is only $100, but I want it!

Have a great weekend!

Friday's Letters

I have been meaning to do this link up for weeks, and finally remembered/had time this week!

Dear Husband, I really enjoyed our date night tonight. We've been doing so good at not eating out that it was a really nice treat. I hope you enjoyed your ribs! Dear little brother, good luck meeting your girlfriend's mother this weekend. I still can't believe you got a girlfriend with that ridiculous beard... I hope they love you as much as we do! Dear husband's boss, I really hope you stop being an ass-hat soon. You can't keep treating people like they're worthless and then expect them to give you 110% and come in to work on their days off. It just doesn't work that way. Dear Thanksgiving weekend, I am so excited to be off this weekend to enjoy you! When you work in a grocery store time off during a food-related holiday is pretty much non-existent so this is a real treat. (Even if I do have to go in for a couple hours Sunday morning...)

I think that's it! Happy Thanksgiving!
